Publication mandate
About the Research Desk
The Seller Stack Lab is an independent testing desk for Etsy, KDP, and print-on-demand seller software. The byline remains Research Desk; no author persona or credential is implied.
Publication mandate
The Research Desk helps Etsy, KDP, and print-on-demand sellers decide which software deserves a place in a working stack. Coverage favors pricing structure, workflow fit, exportability, plan limits, and reasons to skip—not feature-count promotion.
Evidence hierarchy
Independent task observations sit above official vendor documentation; official documentation sits above unsupported marketing claims. Each page labels which layer is present, and no score or performance conclusion is published from vendor copy alone.
What vendors cannot buy
A score, a ranking, removed criticism, or control over methodology. Commercial relationships are disclosed and kept outside the evaluation model.
Corrections and maintenance
Material pricing, plan, workflow, or methodology changes require a dated source record and an entry in the public changelog. Readers can audit what changed without treating an updated vendor page as a completed retest.
Maintainer and credentials
All pages use the byline Research Desk. No individual author persona, credential, or vendor relationship is implied. Editorial contact details remain unpublished until an approved address is supplied.
Current publication state
Four priority reviews and two comparisons contain official-source records, and the owner-supplied 50-keyword Divergence dataset is published with its method and downloads. Independent product testing remains in progress; analytics and email capture remain inactive, while page-level evidence gates keep unverified product conclusions out of search.
